The Climate In Louisville
We enjoy 4 seasons with pleasant summers, some snow in the winter, and very mild spring and fall temperatures. The leaves turn colors each fall with the peak color typically being in mid-October. Snowfall is typically very limited and cold periods usually last only for a week at a time.
Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Louisville enjoys adequate rainfall where most yards do not need sprinklers to keep them green. Summer temperatures reach into the upper nineties at times, but those hot days are quickly broken up by more moderate temperatures.
The local saying in Louisville is “if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes…it will change!” This is true of breezes clearing away fog, afternoon rain showers taking away humidity, and sunshine breaking up the clouds.
